Ancient Vedic Wisdom

Just because something is invisible doesn’t mean that it doesn't exist.

The subtle body of mind, intelligence, and ego is also invisible to you, but you know that the subtle body is there. We have two kinds of bodies: a gross body of earth, water, fire, air, and ether, and a subtle body of mind, intelligence, and ego. You can see the body of earth, water, and so on, but can you see the subtle body? Can you see the mind? Can you see the intelligence? Yet everyone knows you have a mind and I have a mind.

Everyone seeks pleasure, and Science & Technology aims to make life comfortable. We have made significant progress in fields such as Medical, Surgical, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Nanotechnology, Satellites, and more, which have helped us achieve this goal.

Western Theologists believe that the Human Body is the Self and that life is a combination of chemicals. They think that we can provide better and better comforts to the body through technology, which will allow us to achieve happiness.

In contrast, Eastern Philosophers and Theologians talk about two different entities. The gross material body is made up of Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether and can be seen and experienced by the Gross Senses. The Spirit Soul inhabits the Gross Body, causing the Gross and Subtle bodies. The Srimad Bhagavad Gita provides a detailed explanation of the Origin, Anatomy, and Chemistry of the Soul.

The text categorically states that the Gross body (Deha) is occupied by the Spirit Soul (Dehi). To experience happiness and bliss, one must understand the living force, the Soul, as it is the one that experiences it.

True Happiness

Having loving and caring relationships is essential for a happy and fulfilling life. Material possessions cannot provide true happiness.

So always prioritize relationships over objects

"Objects are lifeless and cannot reciprocate our emotions. True happiness is experienced through the mind when there is a genuine exchange of feelings, such as love. Comforts and material possessions may satisfy the body and boost our ego, but they cannot bring lasting fulfilment." Mahashringa Dasa
